There is a connection issue when I try to plug in my speaker system's connection jack into my tv's input. I am not very technologically advanced, but I have the specs on both products and hope someone can help me solve this issue.
Thank you,

Look on the back of the LCD TV. The manual shows a Audio Out set of RCA style jacks.
The Z2300 came with a Game Adapter Cable. The adapter connects to the 1/8" green audio cable connector on the Z2300 control pod and also has a set of RCA Audio Jacks on it.
You need a stereo audio cable with RCA plug connectors on both ends. Match the red to red and white to white so the RCA Audio Output connections on the TV are connected to the RCA jacks on the game adapter. If you find the RCA jacks on both the TV and the adapter. You can always take the adapter to a local store and show them what you need to connect to.
Not sure if any settings have to be made in the Sony's Menus to get audio on the jacks. I don't think so.

Thank you for responding, but I have misplaced that Video game console adapter, which makes my predicament frustrating.
Do you have a link as tow here I can find such an adapter? Because for some reason I am finding it hard to track this thing down.
Thanks

I will look around at some of my catalogs.
Finding the 1/8" stereo female jack for the Z-2300 connector to dual RCA female for the audio input is not that easy a combination to find.

Can I not use a 3.5mm 1/8 stereo female mini jack to 2 male RCA adapter?? It seems like this would work as well?

Yes you could plug the Green Male 1/8" stereo plug on the Z-2300 into the Female 1/8" stereo jack on the adapter. Then the pair of Male RCA Plugs would directly go into the RCA Audio Output Jacks on the TV.

Thank you so much for your help I really appreciate it. I purchased an adapter and it works perfectly.
Are there any extension cables for the speakers that I could use? I'm not sure if this is possible but if it is that would be awesome.
It is just that the cables are pretty short for where my sub is positioned, so if there is a set of extension cables that I could purchase so that I can have more freedom in placing my speakers in my room, I would be a happy camper.
Thanks.

Are you trying to extend the two satellite speakers or the subwoffer?
You should be able to find speaker cables with RCA connectors on them.
Not recommended to try and extend the subwoffer cable as it is not a standard wired cable.
