Device drivers for X-230

I have not been able to locate device drivers for the X-230 speaker set.  Does anyone know where they are?

Thanks very much!

Re: Device drivers for X-230

Hi, the X-230 does not need drivers, just a sound card.

Re: Device drivers for X-230

The speakers should work without any additional software or drivers. The speakers themselves do not need drivers to function; however, the sound card that you plug the speakers into does need drivers in order for the speaker system to work.  Please contact your sound card manufacturer for drivers for your sound card.

Re: Device drivers for X-230

Hi, I have a computer with the logitech X-230 speakers and Windows Vista. My motherboard is on the new side, and I'm using its built in sound card. My speakers worked fine when I had XP, but once I installed Vista, they suddenly stopped working. My computer detects the speakers and it says no driver is required. It also detects a "high-definition sound device controller" or something of the sort, and it says that this also does not need a driver. I'm at a loss and cannot figure out what to do. Can you please help?

Re: Device drivers for X-230

I have no idea what CD is a driver for the sound card.  I have several CD's and don't know which one to shove in pc.  How do you find out what kind of sound card you have on you pc?  I am not computer literate at all.

Re: Device drivers for X-230

Bravo10 and Angelblueye;

Try looking in the Device Manager and see if your sound card or chip set is identified.

Also your users manual may give you the name of the sound device or chip set.

I will see if I can find a link to a hardware detection program you can use to find out what is in your computer.

Re: Device drivers for X-230

My sound card is an ASUS ,  whatever that means.  There must be somewhere to operate the X230 speakers and get a driver for them.. the system is  3D_Xear_3D that is what is in my control panel and for some reason unable to open file... need that driver .... can anyone help to find the driver for that system.

I would have thought Logitech company would be more helpful with their product.

Thankyou

Angelblueye
