2.1/2.0 Speaker Systems (READ ONLY ARCHIVE)

I bought some lovely pink LS11 speakers less than a month ago. They worked perfectly for about a week, but then every now and then they would stop working and I would go to my control panel and they would show as not plugged in. Restarting the computer would fix this problem (without even moving the plug at all). In the last week though, they have stopped fixing themselves when I restart the computer. They are showing as not plugged in the whole time. I have tried plugging them in to every single possible socket that they can fit into, and they are not showing up as plugged in at all.

What am I doing wrong? Is there a problem with the speakers themselves?

What Operating System and Sound Chip Set are you using?

Do the speakers work on a different sound source like an MP3 Player?

This maybe more an Operating System or Sound Chip set problem of not detecting the speakers connected.

Make sure you have all the latest drivers for the computer installed.

You may also want to see if this is a problem being reported on your computer manufacturers support site.
