Ok,
I bought my z-2300 about 3 weeks ago, they have been working fine eventhough alittle thin sounding in the beginning, I dont know if that will change with more use (getting warmer and fuller sound...). I havent used the subwoofer that much, cause the extra bass/pump from it has been too powerful for alot of the music Ive been listening to. The other day I wanted my brother to hear them but when I turned on the music to a house song with alot of pump in it, nothing came out of the sub... Me and hubbie unplugged everything and restarted and then it worked again, however now I only get sound from the sub at about 70 % bass turned up, before that nothing, its just quiet. At 70% and up, the sound is very very muffled... I didnt think I would have to use the sub at 70 % and up for it to work at all with this product, and it seems that it was working at alot lower sound/bass levels before that moment when It was completely "dead" (only the sub not the speakers!)
Is it something wrong with it, and I should return it for another one, only had it for 3 weeks, or does it get better with more use? I know subs are kind of muffled and only deliver more power/pump so to speak, but I do feel that the sub was clearer before it went dead, now its incredible muffled when I finally get sound from it at 70% basslevel... Hmm, please advice me if you're more familiar with me on this set. I paid 130$ for these, and for that I expect a perfect functioning product. Anyone think this sub is broken? Thanks alot!
Ladyzoul.

Hey,
I don't think theres any problem wit the speakers. When i was choosing speakers for my computer,i was going to buythe Z-2300's but when i tested them out at the store, i realized i almost had to turn the sub to max before i got decent bass. The sub on the Z2300 was at about 90% before the bass could match the Z-5300e's bass at only 35%. That is why i chose the Z-5300e because it gave good bass at a lower volumes. Now i have the Z-5500 and it sounds even better than the Z-5300e!
