I purchased x140 speakers and hooked them up to my Dell PC Desktop through the 3.5mm green jack in the back, like it appears I should. But the speaker icon flashes back and forth showing them to be working, to the red X showing that nothing is hooked up. I updated drivers thinking that would help, but nothing. . . . . so if I am lucky, I can use them about 25% of the time when they are showing active and hooked up. Any suggestions? I just hooked them in front to the headphone jack and the same thing is happening. . . . I am frustrated because I work from home and my old speakers up and died on me! Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. I am at my wits end, and the user guide for those speakers was no help, and there didn't appear to be any software to fix it.

Hi,
These are analog speakers. They connect to your sound card. There are no drivers.
Test the speakers with an MP3 player.
