As has been the case around here, the wired remote to my Logitech z2300 set shorted out, and the left channel speaker no longer works (same symptom exhibited through the headphone jack - only the right channel audio works, headphones or not). Obviously, Logitech does not sell the wired remote as a replacement part, so I would like to know if anyone has experience in getting their wired remote replaced. I tried e-mailing tech support, but got a nonsensical response riddled with broken English, ie. "Also, please let me know the reason of the cables is shorted out." ![]()
Any help would be appreciated. ![]()

Have you tried replacing the headphone jack?
Im having the same problem you just described and I was thinking that maybe it was just a faulty connection at the jack that plugs into the ipod/pc your using. Do you know if the source of the problem is circuity within the wired remote itself?

I have seen in a electronic repair related web site.
Someone has developed a replacement Z2300 remote.
It is a how to build your own and does show connections from their original remote. Not sure if it was 100% correct with respect to my PID version controls.
