2.1/2.0 Speaker Systems (READ ONLY ARCHIVE)

This may sound like a stupid question, but when I plug the unit in, should the power led on the remote light up?  Tried various plugs, but no power indicated by the led, and no sound from the speakers.

Nothing happens when you push the Power On Standby button on the control unit?

Nothing.  Sound still coming out of laptop speakers.

If you have verified the power outlet is OK and the speakers are connected correctly. It sounds like your speaker set maybe defective. Can you exchange them?

I am experiencing the same problem:  no light on remote and speakers aren't working. The system worked for just over a month, then it went dead.  Tried it on another computer and got same result; dead.  Is there a fix for this or do I have to seek replacement?

Hi,

If you plugged the speakers into the headphone out of the laptop and STILL get sound from the laptop builtin speakers then the headphone jack on the laptop is defective. It should automatically mute the built in speakers.

Before I buy a Z313 I want to know what the standby power is.  Logitech phone support hung up on me because I told him "five volts" doesn't give me any information regarding standby power.  He thought volts meant power....
