Just purchased the z523 Speakers. Every time I turn on the computer, the right speaker has no sound. I then unplug the speaker jack in my computer and plug it in again, and then it starts working, but obviously this isn't something I should have to do every time I use the computer. I have a Dell computer, running XP, and Realtek HD Audio manager. Any suggestions would sure be appreciated. Thank you!

In the HD Manager. You may want to make sure the audio output is set correctly.
When you disconnect and then reconnect the audio cable does the manager ask you what you connected?
Can you try the audio output jack on the computer with maybe a set of headphones. To make sure the computer itself doesn't have a flaky jack.

I have tried with headphones and the right side also doesn't work with the headphones when it is not working and does work when it is working. No message from the HD Manager when I reconnect. I do have the balance for the speakers set correctly with the HD Manager. It really doesn't make any sense to me why I should have to keep reconnecting it in order to get it to work properly. Thanks

The thing is that the previous speakers I had (also Logitech) worked fine, so I'm not sure how it could be the computer.

Now that you know the original speakers didn't show this problem. Dell support may not have much to add. Unless they know of a jack issue and are willing to share.
Maybe the audio connector mates slightly differently between the new speakers and headphones. Versus the original ones that worked fine.
