I just purchased a 700i master system with a 700e add-on camera. I haven't even installed the software yet, but at this point I'm stymied as to where to place the outdoor camera. I cannot attach anything to the siding of my home without invalidating the siding warranty. There is a large rigid metal pipe running vertically down the side of the house, and I'm thinking I could strap a 2x4 next to it and screw the camera into that. Is there any reason this wouldn't work? Thanks in advance for any advice. ~~Cheryl

How about attached to the braces under the eaves?

I thought about that! But then, isn't the power supply also supposed to be mounted to a wall in an upright position?

I've found the mounting on the power supply to be pretty flexible if you aren't worried about a lot of water hitting it. If you are then upright keeps the opening on the botton for extra prevention against water entry.
