I picked up the 750e system yesterday and verified that, with the camera in the darkened garage, night mode switched on with no problems.  Today I mounted the camera outside under the eaves and plugged it into that same garage outlet.  When the sun set, the camera began a never-ending sequence of reboots.  I get a very pale purple status light (maybe white?) then blinking blue before returning to green.  Lather, rinse, repeat.

During my head-scratching, I added a bit of light to the area and the reboots stopped.  Turning off the light caused the reboots to start again.  With the light on and camera running stably, I held a wide plastic rake up near the camera, casting a shadow over its face.  As soon as the IR lights came on, the camera instantly rebooted.  This is 100% reproducible.  I thought maybe the camera wasn't getting enough juice, and while I can't imagine how it may have helped, I tried 2 other outlets.  No good.

I've now unplugged the camera completely, and plan to take the whole thing down tomorrow to try to figure out what's going on.  Any tips?  No night mode = no point = back to the store.

Update: Re-updated to the latest firmware, no change.

By turning the light back on, I got the camera to stay up long enough to disable Night Mode in Settings.  The reboots have stopped.  The problem sure seems like it's specifically related to this feature.  Help!

Unplug the camera and take out the SD card then plug back in and see if this happens again with night vision on.

1) I first tried formatting the card using the PC software. Using a black tshirt, I faked the camera into night mode. Failed.

2) Powered off the camera, pulled the card, and powered up again. Tshirt test failed.

3) With card still out, held the reset button. When camera returned, verified all settings had been reset. Tshirt test failed.

4) Pulled the whole camera kit down and repeated all tests. Darkened room tests all failed.

I never thought the biggest challenge would be getting everything to fit back in the box. Anyway, checking stock at the store, hopefully the exchanged one will work for more than 24hrs.
