So the camera was running over night. Turned on computer in the morning. The camera was supposed to download all the clips, but it didn't.
The only clips I get are from after the computer turned on. So now I have to turn on the computer 24/7.
There WERE recordings saved on the SD Card. It is just not coming to the computer.
Solution?

Keep in mind that the most recent clips are copied first...and it works back in time as it gets the chance to copy them ( if you currently have a lot of motion, those clips are getting copy priority ). If you set the motion sensitivity to zero temporarily, that should provide the time for it to catch-up. You can look at the Networking tab of Task Manager and see those clips being copied if no other traffic from the PC ( that's an easy way to see the copy activity...and when it stops ).

Thanks for the reply.
That wouldn't be the issue, since I left it on for hours. It wasn't downloading for sure. It used to.
Today I tested it again and the problem is gone. The computer did download videos recorded from the night before. It seems there is some bug in the program that might cause the computer not to download at random times.
I will continue and see if this would be an on going issue.

i keep having the same problem with one of my cameras. sometimes i see grey segments that don't quite finish downloading into my computer. i tried resetting, unplugging waiting a few minutes and plugging it back in, works for awhile then it happens again. i shut down alert commander and restarted it, the grey segments started to finish downloading then. i am puzzled. ron

Is there any chance the SD card is going bad or has a bad format? It may be worth try to reformat the card and watch behavior to see if it improves.

Thanks F4U Corsair,
The SD Card is 32GB brand new. Shouldn't be a SD Card issue since it records just fine. It just wasn't downloading. This happened twice.
I found it disappointing that the software doesn't have a command to TELL the computer to download files. The software automatcially download at its own command and if it doesn't feel like doing it, you have to manually get the SD Card off the roof of your house.
The same applies if you Don't want the computer to download, say you are working on something that requires processing memory. You have to turn off the master system software for it to stop downloading.
I believe it would help if there is an option like Windows Update where you can set the software to "Automatically Download" or "No, I'll decide when to download when I am ready".

Here is a reason why I am not a fan of allowing the software to make decisions for me.

It would be nice to have the ability to actually command the software to download data files on demand. Right now, downloading is 100% up to the software's discretion. A see a lot of users have this problem.

It happened again. It won't download any videos from before 3PM today. I know there are clips since I live in a pretty populated area.
Unless this random non-download issue is resolved, this product is pretty much useless.
