Had electrician at my home and 4 of my 6 cameras vanished and can't get them back.  Tried rebooting and reinstalling software.  Called tech support and they said that my having 2 circuit boxes in house might mean my network adapter is only picking up one box.  Anyone know if I can add a second network adapter to my system and how I'd go about buying just the network adapter?  Appreciate any feedback here.

I guess the primary question is what exactly did the electrician do ?  If it really can't be easily fixed, then you may want to consider going PoE to the cameras if possible...as an alternative to another HomePlug network adapter or some form of HomePlug bridge.

Electrician added 2 outlets.  One of them was for 1 of cameras.  It should not have caused other cameras to drop out.

By going POE, do you mean getting a POE router and hooking up network adapter to it?  I have a non-POE switch (48 ports) which I've tried plugging network adapter into (but opted for it to go to router directly based on other threads).  Either connection failed to see other cameras.  I've tried resetting cameras too (with paperclip).  No luck.

Yeah, adding outlets should not have caused any issue ( unless something noisey got plugged in there <g> )...but HomePlug is a bit like RF...a little black magic involved <g>  Now if he added a breaker/circuit for those outlets, then maybe it is on the opposite side of the hot line coming in...so he might could just move the breaker to the other hot line.

A PoE switch is just like your current switch...but with some ports that can supply power as well.  Then an ethernet cable can go from the PoE port on the switch all the way to the camera...bypassing all the HomePlug stuff.
