Alert Commander Shows Greyed Timelines For Recorded Video

I have three750 cameras on on my system, 2 exterior and 1 interior, I have upgraded them all with 32Gb SD and a windows 7 pc.

The system work fines and our intention is to add three additional cameras to the system.

The issue I'm having is that at times when I try to playback the video from the day, a large part of the video section is greyed out. It seems to indicate that there is a recording but the recording is not currently available. I can usually see all of the video the next day.

Can anyone explain what is happening? Has anyone else experienced this?

Otherwise,

Re: Alert Commander Shows Greyed Timelines For Recorded Video

It sounds like it is just taking a while to copy all the clips.  When you start Alert commander on the PC, it will compare what it has on your disk against what the camera has on the SD card, and then start copying the clips to your disk.  When it copies. it starts copying the lastest ones first and works back through time until it gets the oldest one.  If your PC is not running all the time, it can have a backlog when you start Alert Commander.  If it is there later as you state, I suspect it just took a while to get caught-up.

Check your powerline and camera bandwidth diagnostics...if those are weak, that can add to the delay.

UselessS, thanks for the input. This is pretty much what I suspected, so your eplaination is more than plausable.
