Alert Security Systems

I'm about to order a set of 4 outdoor cameras. Not in a great rush as my house is not built yet, but thought I would get them and experiment so I'm ready.

Does anyone have any info or reason to think Logitech might roll out new Alert models in the next month or so? Or can we expect the hardware to stay the same and only software upgrades?

Usually Logitech does not comment on future releases of products or updates. Usually they will post something when a new device comes out, but not always. They always announce about updates though usually a couple of days before. Sometimes they will post on their online blog about new devices or in the Announcement board at the top of the forums page.

Sometimes the engineers come on here though, but usually they do not discuss future models.

I've been lurking for the past few months wondering the same thing. Buying a house this summer and so far am set on the Alert system. I'd hate to buy it all and have a tech refresh happen a month or two later. The hardware is 2 years old this Aug or so?

They came out in 2010. The Wilife cameras were out for a while and still supported and with every update for Alert the engineers have been adding new features, but they will not tell us what they have in the works.
