I just purchased 200 feet CAT6e cables that I plan to use with PoE. I've tested them and they work great. Unfortunately, the boot is too big. I was thinking of getting Cat6 couplers and using the Logitech included cables outside.
Are they Cat6e? Will I lose bandwidth using this setup?

I doubt the Logitech cables are CAT6, but I also doubt you would see any bandwidth difference with CAT5. That said, having a coupler might impact it slightly...but probably very little ( hopefully the coupler is inside, out of the weather <g> ). Also, you "could" carefully trim the strain relief on the CAT6 cables to fit inside the camera ( that's what I did for my cameras ).

What did you use to trim the strain relief? Hesitant to trim them only because they were 200 ft Cat 6 and weren't inexpensive.

I used a wirecutter made for small electronics...intended to cut things flush with a circuit board. You could use a small sharp knife or razor blade to cut the strain-relief until you are close to the insulation...then tear away what remains so you can trim the rest away to the shortened length needed. If you have a cheap/extra old cable around, you could practice on that. The strain-relief is separate from the cable insulation...just fits tightly around it, so trimming the strain-relief without cutting the cable insulation is the trick. If using the CAT6 cable, it is round and a bit larger than the flat cable...it will conform with the gasket when tightened down. There is a tiny extra gasket piece/shim you could remove where the cable goes ( it is just glued to the main gasket ), and use a little silicone sealer around the cable where it meets the gasket to be safe with the weatherproofing.
If you aren't comfortable with doing that ( did I scare you sufficiently ? <g> ), then just go with the coupler to be safe.

The cables that come with the Alert cameras, treoguy, are Cat5 cables and the coupler that came with the cameras should be fine. Just use the shortest possible wire from the camera to the coupler because the longer the wires the poorer the quality. PoE can go up to about 325'.
