I suspect this is a camera issue, but one of my 3 cameras has an irritating squeal in night-mode only. It seems to be sensitive to temperature or humidity as the pitch and intensity varies over time. I'm running POE ( same issue w/powerline )...I plan to swap cameras next chance I get to confirm/isolate. Anyone else come across this behavior ?

I have personally never heard of the camera 'Squealing' in night vision mode. When it does this, is it being recorded or does it physically sound like it is coming from the camera?

I don't hear it physically...though it may be possible if I got a ladder in the middle of the night to check <g> Yes, the squeal is in the recordings and in the stream. I "suspect" the electronics are oscillating in night-mode...once I get the camera swapped, I'll know for sure...just a big pain to go do. I could send you a clip if you are interested...like I said, it varies a bit in frequency and intensity throughout the night, but virtually always there on that camera. It is not terribly loud, but annoying none-the-less. The sound is similar to something like an A/C vent where the airflow whistles through when partially closed.

Not sure if you got the clips I sent, but I did swap cameras yesterday...and confirmed the night-mode audio issue followed the camera. I had just received my 3rd camera last week, but it quickly developed a video issue ( pink/fuzzy ) when coming-out of night-mode...so I had to swap the other two instead of my plan <g> I entered a support ticket on the 3rd one.

I have the night vision squeal now too on my outdoor alert camera. Anyone determine the problem or do I have to go through the red tape with support in order to have it returned and replaced?

Replacing is the only option I know of.

I too am experiencing the audio squeal in night mode - I have not heard the squeal while there in person (this camera is at a vacation home) coming directly from the camera - it's just over the audio feed. Once camera shifts to day mode there is no squeal so it does appear to be directly related to the night vision. I have sent support a request for help on this and after several days, still no response. Has anyone on this thread had any success in getting rid of the squeal? It's almost like a feedback thing, but it is very annoying.
