I have two residences and at my first residence my Logitech Alert indoor camera was working fine then went offline two days ago. I can't connect to it via Iphone App, logging in through logitech's website, or the Commander App.All I get is this camera is currently offline. With my residence being out of state this is a real nightmare and has me rethinking whether or not to use Logitech Cameras at my second residence. If I can't reboot/reset my camera remotley without a connection to the camera, it's useless. I can't just hop a jet to go back and unplug the device to reset it. In the same residence my two Trendnet cameras are working perfectly so I know it isn't a issue with the modem/router/power. I've read other posts here where users are having similar issues. Is this a hardware defect that was missed during quality control testing or is this something that can be corrected via software/firmware updates? Are there any firmware/software updates coming soon to address this issue, so we can remotley reset/reboot the cameras without a connection. Even if I was to ask a friend to go over and unplug then replug the camera to become "active" again what happens if the same things happens again in a month. I'm very discouraged by this factor. Otherwise I really like the cameras. Any insight from anyone at Logitech on if this issue can be addressed via firmware or such would be greatly appreciated. Also any members who have figured out a way "around" to reset the camera remotley would be appreciated! Thank you for your time, Richard

Richard,
I have my fingers crossed they listened to my post and will allow us to reboot the powerline device as that is usually detected even when the camera is offline. So far, I have not had any luck getting them to agree to it so for now, expect to go unplug the camera now and then to make it work.
Rick

It's crazy when you use the security cameras in multiple locations, like my example. If it was just at where I live it would just be a nuisance having to unplug then plug back in the unit. But to be away from the location it leaves you totally helpless. Even though we shouldn't have to as end users, if we switch the cameras in the future to POE does it get rid of the issue? To me they defintley missed something either in R & D or the quality control department when it comes to using the homeplug device. The camera will just randomly go offline and if you're out of town, you're stuck. My camera was working fine for a month then just went offline. But I know there was never a power outage, no internet issues( my two other cameras are trendnet which are online). To me Logitech should issue a critical firmware/software update to correct the issue immediatly!

Ditto with the same issue, however I am in the location. I have unplugged the Powerline Adaptor, hard reset the two cams, said a prayer and NOTHING.
I have 4 other Logitech cams that are working just fine. Oh and I already checked the outlets these two PLA are plugged into and they are live. These two that are giving me trouble are both OUTSIDE CAMS. One shows a indicator light of purple (meaning it is connected to the ALert Commander (IT IS NOT) and the other cam is a solid red.
If there are no fixes, workaround or any other solutions to this issue (and it happened after a power outage which is normal for AZ) then I am giving up on this entire system.

I just replaced one camera that did the same thing. It went offline and there was no amount of effort that would bring it back. I trouble shot the whole system. The camera was the problem and now with a new one hooked up everything is working like normal.
I hope this doesn't happen often.

Hi-
I am having the exact same problem. Put a camera at my vacation home out of state. Works for 3-4 weeks, then goes "offline". Have to travel a few hours unplug everything. Then it resets, and works for another few weeks. A real pain...thinking about putting a different system in. Any help??? Please advise. Thanks!!!

I have four cameras at a remote location and everything has been working will for two years. In the last couple of months all four cameras have gone off line and wouldn't come back. I have remote server access and still couldn't get the cameras back. Last week I went to the location and power cycled all cameras and they came back.
Today I noticed they are all off line again.
Seems like the cameras need to be able to power cycle from the computer.
