Hi,
I have two cameras on my Alert system. One works fine, the other is not discovered by the Commander although it has green light on the camera. My router is Speedtouch 780WL, operating system - Windows XP SP3. I can see, that both cameras are recognized by the router, but only the first camera is detected by the Commander. Why is that? Has anybody come across this odd situation?

On the surface, it sounds like that camera may have been setup previously...and with a password on the camera and HomePlug adapter...thus not allowing your Alert Commander to see it. You could paperclip reset the camera to make it forget that, but the HomePlug adapter would require the HomePlug utility from the Logitech site to clear the password in it. If that camera was in a sealed factory package, then I'm not quite sure why you would see that behavior. I'd try swapping the two camera HomePlug adapters...to see if the issue follows the adapter or the camera ( you may have to paperclip reset that camera if it has a password for it to be seen using the other HomePlug unit ). The fact that the status LED is green indicates it is working through your router to the internet, so it doesn't seem like a h/w issue...more like the password issue.

Exactly. The camera was detected immediately after reset. It also asked to upgrade firmware version and then worked fine. Thanks!
