Dead 700i

Hi folks, I have a 700i that recently stopped working (worked for a few months).. I tried it with another Logitech Homeplug adapter from a different camera and same thing. No lights at all and doesn't show up in the software. I also found the ip it had been using and it's not pinging. I tried resetting it with a pin and also removed the card. Nothing seems to make a difference. This is a refurb so I'm not optimistic on getting a replacement. Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Dead 700i

If no lights, it sounds dead.  If you tried with a different cable on another HomePlug adapter, then you pretty much exhausted what you can do.

Thanks. I was hoping there was something else I was missing.

Re: Dead 700i

If out of any warranty from where ever you got it and you want to replace it, consider the B700i...so you don't have to buy the HomePlug stuff you already have...might even be cheaper than another refurb...especially in the long run <g>

Alternative Ways to Reset 700i?

We have a total of 12 Logitech cameras - 6 of the Alert flavor.

One of the interior 700i cameras needs resetting.  Unfortunately, the reset switch appears to be non-functional.  (Meaning I cannot feel it depress.)  Is there another way to reset this camera?

Re: Alternative Ways to Reset 700i?

If you can't see it from Alert Commander to use the s/w reset, then the paperclip reset is about the only option.  If that can't be done, then I suggest calling Logitech support.
