Hi,
I have a 700i. I connected it to the POE switch and lauched Commander but Commander cannot find the camera. The Camera does pull an IP address and I can ping it. The LED on the bottom of the camera goes from green to white to blinking blue to solid blue and then after a few minutes repeats this cycle. I have tried resetting the camera w/ a paperclip. I have also tried to get it towork w/a few different memory cards installed as well as with no card at all.
Any tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

In order for you to get the Camera up and running, you need two Main Devices. The camera being one and a Network Adapter that translates the information going from your Poe via your Router. Do You have a Network Adapter Plugged into your Router and if so, what is the color of the led Light that you see on the front of it?
I believe what you have with you is an Add-On Camera and you do require a Master System that comes with a Network Adapter for it to be able to function Properly.

I already have a master system and it is working fine w/ two cameras. I was given this indoor addon camera (just the 700i camera without a homeplug adapter).
The two cameras I already have on the system are using the homeplug adapters. I have a POE switch so I connected this new camera to it and the camera powered up. Like I said, the camera pulled an IP address and I am able to ping it.
But then the camera reboots on its own once every few minutes. The LED on the bottom of the camera goes from green to white to blinking light blue to solid light blue. When the LED is solid light blue, I can ping it. When the camera reboots, I am unable to ping it until it returns to a solid light blue LED.
The red LED on the front of the camera is also on when the bottom LED is sold light blue.
I am not able to connect to the camera using Alert Commander. Alert Commander cannot find the camera. I also cannot connect to it using VLC (rtsp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/LowResolutionVideo)
Pressing the reset button on the camera did nothing. It doesn't seem to react at all. Is there another way to reset it? Perhaps by loading a firmware file onto the SD card or by holding down reset while the camera is powered on?
Thanks.

Just to clarify the fine details, you did have the camera powered when you did the reset, right ?

Hey, I had to ask <g> From the behavior you describe, it almost sounds like the reset switch is stuck in...continuous reboots. I guess maybe you got what you paid for on that one <g>

How is your Router Connected to your Computer, Is it hardwired or is it a wireless Router?
What happens when you unplug the ethernet from the router? Does the Camera still keep cycling through the lights or does it come to a stop and if so, what color is the light when it stops?

@ Lane-G and maxlogitech :
Can i get you to do a small test :
Can i get you to plug the camera into the Power Supply that Came with the Camera and see if the camera light's keep cycling or does it come to a complete stop. This will let us know if there is problem with the Camera itself.
Next , plug the camera into your PoE Switch and perform the below steps.
@ Lane-G
Can I get you to do the following :
1, Unplug the Camera,
2, Take out the SD card
3, Plug the camera back up and give it a couple of minutes to boot up (the status light will blink red/yellow, do not worry)
4, Try to see if you can find your Camera.
May I also get you to try this please.
If need to,Perform a Reset and hold onto the reset button for a good 10 - 30 seconds before you let it go.
