What is the proper procedure for deleting videos from the camera? So they no longer show on my system?
I start Alert Commander. Go to the Playback mode. Then navigate to videos that I do not want, right-click, and then choose Delete Video Segment.
The videos are now deleted from AC and are gone from C:\Users\{USERNAME}\Videos\Logitech Alert Videos\{CAMERA}.
However, if I exit AC and then re-open AC the videos just download again...
I have deleted the same video clips multiple times...but they keep coming back.
Alternatively I tried the solution posted here: http://forums.logitech.com/t5/Alert-Security-Syste
Finally, I tried formatting the SD card to get rid of all videos on the camera. This obviously killed all videos! However, my next step was to allow the camera to record a new test clip. AC downloaded the new clip. I reviewed it and then deleted it. After exiting and restarting AC the dang clip is back!!!
Any recommendations?

Question is, why would you need to delete it? To save space on your hard drive?
If the SD card in the camera is only 2GB, the most video that would "come back" is 2GB. Why not just download what you needed, reformat the SD Card so all the videos you already have won't come back again.
If the SD card is more than 2GB, then I see what your issue is. My SD card is 32GB, I usually download everything and clean out the SD Card. Review what I need and throw away the rest.
I do agree the software needs better user control of what gets downloaded and when. The ability to demand videos or stop downloading, instead of allowing the software to do all the thinking for us, because it is DUMB.

To save space on hard drive, to clean up the dozens of fale positive videos that I no longer want in the list, etc.
I don't understand why there is a delete option if the files are just going to be added back after I reconnect...
This makes me think there is a problem somewhere.
The idea of re-formatting the sd card after all videos download just feels wrong.
Thanks!

Try always leaving the most recent segment/clip. I think when AC is started, the index looks back at the most recent clip on your disk to know where to start copying. If you leave the most recent and delete older clips I don't think you will see the older clips get copied again.
If you delete the index file before starting AC, it will rebuild the index and copy the older clips...so that is not what you want to do either.

Looks like keeping the most recent clip works. Thanks!
