Hello,
I've just purchased a Master 750e.
Because I've alredy few Devolo CPL at home, I've added the one which power supply the 700e camera, for that I4ve just added using the Devolo cockpit the security key the the camera 700e homeplug.
Everything is fine, but I've not able to upgrade my camera with the latest firmware.
I've must say I've contacted the French support (living there), but they have been very bad and didn't reply to my question.
So up to now, I'm a bit disappointed with this product.
If you can help me, I will appreciate a lot ![]()
Cheers

Have you tried removing the security key and attempting the upgrade then restoring it? If that doesn't work try setting it to "HomePlugAV" which is the deafault password.
You may also unplug your computer from your router (turn off wifi if you're on a laptop and use the physical network port) and plug the Devolo homeplug bridge to your PC (not the router) and reboot the PC. This creates a network with just the PC and camera to eliminate any router settings that could be affecting the update process.

Many thanks for your reply.
I must say I've contacted the french support and I'm still waiting for their feedback, since few days already...
I've reseted the camera, but after, the Logitech Homeplug asked me for the security key, I though it could be the security key on the plug itself as we do to add on CPL network with the Devolo cockpit.
Could you please tell me how we can remove the security key? Is it attached with our Logitech account?
In fact, actually my computer is linked by a Devolo CPL which go directly to a procurve 8 port, which is linked to a DSL box.
So I'm not using the wifi with my laptop but ethernet connexion with the CPL.
What I've tried also is just used the two logitech plugs, but they didn't wanted to communicate together, perhaps due to the fact I've atteched one of them to my Devolo CPL network?
I will try again to connect directly my laptop to my DSL box and use only the two Logitech plugs and typing the HomePlugAV password to see if it work.
Do you think sending you the zip diagnostic file could help you potentially?

I think the security key you are being asked for is the homelug password. In theory the Devolo SW is probably setting that. You can also try this homeplug utility from the US website: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/1119/7862?section=do
I believe if you reset the camera it will also reset the password. The only password linked to your account is your account password for remote and mobile viewing.

Yes, when I've tried to put a password it's because Logitech Alert Commander asked me for we I've tried to install only with the two Homeplug.

Hi,
I must say I don't know what happen.
I've tried several things, I've even lost during a while my camera connexion... after struggling hard, I've got her again, but still impossible to upgrade this camera.
I've used the logitech software, I've set all the plugs (Devolo and Logitech) with the secure key and network plug password, but still nothing.
Should I use only the Logitech plug to be able to update the camera?
Actually my configuration is the following:
- one devolo connected to be DSL BOX/Router
- one logitech plug (grey) to connect and supply the camera directly
- my laptop with wifi off and connected directly with ethernet wire.
I don't know what to do...
Could the problem could come from my professionel computer? Firewall question?
As soon I've want to upgrade, I've 0% and the text written in red.
Now I'm also able to use only the Logtech plugs and my camera is working...
, but even Devolo + Logitech or Logitech + Logitech... I've still the problem.
Should I open any port using the BOX/router DSL?
Thanks for your help...

If you are able to view the live stream from your camera then I don't believe that a HomePlug password is the reason that you are unable to upgrade the firmware. The HomePlug password is an all or nothing type of security, thus if you are able to see the live stream, then you should also be able to upgrade your firmware.
Since you cannot upgrade your firmware, I would suspect that it is something else. Do you have a software firewall on the PC that is running Alert Commander? I would suggest temporarily disabling the firewall on your PC and then attempting to upgrade the firmware.
The firmware upgrade process is an inbound connection to the PC and thus can easily be blocked even while everything else about the camera functions properly. Please confirm that your PC is not protected by a softtware firewall that is blocking the firmware update and then post back.

I must say I use my company laptop, on it there is an antivirus Sophos and I suppose a firewall (I can't change de parameters on Windows 7), you think the problem could come from here?
Update: I've been able to add Logitech Commander Alert in the allowed program, and now I've been able to update to camera, GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ![]()
MANY THANKS!!

Hi,
I've just try to install the Logitech Alert Commander software on a virtual machine (under Windows 7 on my NAS), I've been able to reconize my camera, but in the main windows, the camera image is still grey, but in the zoom field, it is ok...
Do you have an idea where the problem is coming from?
Many thanks!

I'd guess it is the lack of the video card/driver/support in the VM...as the live video actually goes to the video card with Alert ( the small image you see in the zoom window is actually just a snapshot of a frame ).
