Hi Everyone!
I have installed the Logitech Alert Commander 750e and I downloaded the version for Windows 7. It was installed okay but when I tried to view the Live Mode - it does not display the actual live footage, it's just give me a gray screen, the smaller screen which you can adjust focus on the right pane is fine though.
The enter playback mode cannot view / play back the recordings too... It just gives me a gray screen as well. So right now I am playing the MP4 files in a separate player.
Everything seems okay except for the one's I mentioned. The problem started when I changed my OS to Windows 7 (32 bit) and I am wondering if anyone here experienced the same problem. This is fine way back when I am using Windows XP SP3 32-bit.
Detailed outline:
- Installer used for Windows 7: LogitechAlertCommander3.1.139.exe
- Camera Model: Logitech Alert 750e
- OS: Windows 7 Enterprise 32 bit
- Hardware: Dell E6410 Laptop
- WiFi: 1Mbps
regards,
Ryan!

The first thing to check is the video driver...make sure you have the up-to-date driver for Win7 ( I know Dell is good about providing them via the support.dell.com site ). Alert Commander writes the video direct to the video card...so an important thing to have the proper driver.
Also, sometimes when you get a Win7 permissions prompt, Alert Commander loses that live video to gray...just minimize then restore the Alert Commander window.

I think what UselessS said is correct, it sounds like a video driver issue to me. You can verify that the live stream is working properly by downloading VLC and then connecting to the stream independent of Commander as well. If the live stream works in VLC and not Commander then you know for certain that its not a camera issue.

Hello,
If your video card drivers are fine and you can see the video in other players, check your security software and firewalls as well. Try turning them all off and then close the Alert Commander and reopen it and see if there is a change.

Hi
I have this same problem. The camera records and shows up in the bottom left screen, but not in the main live view.
I can play the recorded files back using VLC. I have tried turning off my anti virus (AVG 2012 Free) and upgrading my graphics drivers (sis Mirage) but the live view still doesn't show.
I originally installed an indoor camera that I borrowed from work and it works fine, but we now have an outdoor camera installed but this fails to show in the live view.
I have the latest version of the Alert software and am running Windows XP 32bit.
Any suggestions?

Well, it sounded like a video driver thing...until you said an indoor camera worked fine...so an outdoor camera should as well. I'd suggest running detailed diagnostics to see what it can tell you...may be just a weak HomePlug signal ( try different AC receptacles...use an extension cord to test if need be ).

Good...but I'd suggest you at least run the Powerline and Camera Bandwidth tests under Diagnostics...just so you have an idea of how that looks when things are working.
