Logitech alert 750e data online bandwidth usage

If I am are not doing a remote viewing online,  is the Logitech 750e camera still transmits video data to Logictech host website  there by eating my data usage?  The reason I am asking is that when I check my Comcast account, I see an increase in data usage after I install the Alert camera.  From Aug 1 mid-night to noon, I see 3 Gigbytes usage on my account.  I just want to make sure that my Logitech Alert 750e is not eating bandwidth while connecting it to my router.

It only transmits video if you request a video stream from web commander or some of the mobile clients.  There is a minimal amount of traffic associated with maintaining a connection to Logitech's back-end serivces, but it'd be no different than leaving an IM client open and inactive.

Are you sure the 3 GB is due to Alert, or just trying to figure out what caused it?

Re: Logitech alert 750e data online bandwidth usage

Hi Jnoring,

Thank for your response.  May be Comcast counts the data usage with Eastern Standard time.  Since I am in west coast, it could be that the data usage between 21:00-24:00 (yesterday)  shows up in today's usage.  Your answer assures me that I do not need to be alarmed for the data usage issue.  Thanks .
