With 8 pages of requests and future enhancements, I do not know if this was asked before or not. If so, please accept my apologies...
I would like to see new models of supported cameras, like a "spy cam" or "nanny cam" for the Alert System similar to what they had in the older version of this product.

Agree on the ability to set times for Alerts on specific cameras - This is key for commercial environments

It would be really nice to have the commander window resizable, I use a large, high resolution set of monitors and the default size is just too small to see much on in mult camera view

most cameras these days allow you to view a snapshot jpg of what is live on the camera. this is such a BASIC function that is not there on this camera.
example would be go to 192.168.1.102/snapshot.jpg and you would see a STILL picture of what is going on on the camera.
Please let me know if you can put this in. This is very valuable for cell phones, etc where you may not need a live stream to 'check' in on something.

Another vote for times when alerts are active.
Certain times of the day, trees are creating moving shadows across some of the areas we are trying to protect. Setting times would avoid our memory being filled up unnecessarily.

Another vote for adding view-only accounts to Web Commander as well. And to be able to limit which cameras they can see.
I have family who will check recordings when we are away, but I do not want them to change settings / cameras etc. Also not want them to see the internal cameras.

The cameras are actually better than what current settings give you. The contrast is way too high even when set to zero, and brightness is a tradeoff. We really need a Gamma setting for the camera. This would allow us to see much more detail in shadows during the day, and see much farther at night...without overexposing the lighter areas. Today, I have to use VLC for RTSP or clip viewing to set the Gamma to the proper level...but this should really be done in the camera configuration.

Another thing that would be useful is to have an option to "exclude" motion areas instead of "include". An example would be a bush in the center of the viewing area that wind or shadows trigger unwanted motion recording. Today, you would have to setup 4 "include" areas around it...but would be better to have a single "exclude". Maybe just a selection for "Include" or "Exclude" when defining areas.

It would also be nice to have some way of telling if it is recording or not. Maybe a little R in a circle flashing on the screen or something?

Day/Night profiles would be great to have. You can set the day profile to be fully zoomed out and with its own sound settings and when it switches over to night mode it will zoom in to the area you have already selected and how sensitive you would like the mic to be for night time. Kinda like you do when you select zones for it to watch.
