No cameras or sites have been defined

My cameras have always worked using the commander software on my pc. I have never had any problems viewing footage or recording.

- Mobile viewer and iphone app has consistently given me problems. One week it works, the next its the 503 error.

- Now i get this message - "No cameras or sites have been defined. Please install your cameras using Logitech Alert Commander on your computer." I have had this error for 6 weeks and counting.

Can anyone help me out? I'm really getting tired of baby sitting this stuff. I use to have the older wilife system and it was much more stable.

Re: No cameras or sites have been defined

Hi kevbo,

Please check on the following - In Alert Commander software, in Settings, Web & Security - check that you have your correct email for the account. You can try reassociating your account through the advance tab on the same page.

Also, are you getting similar issues with Web viewer? (alert.logitech.com)

Re: No cameras or sites have been defined

Another thing to check after making sure your account info is setup.  If you discovered the cameras with one computer in the past, then a different computer later, you may have more than one "site" online.  Check to see if you do, and if so, switch to the other site.

[ Edited ]
This sounds to me like my exact problem. My Alert system works fine for about 24 hours and then it tells me that it cannot contact the system, or the remote tells me "no camera on line". The system says it is on line but it still won't work, then it will work for an hour or two and then it won't. I set the email alert, come home to find that there have been several visitors but the thing now thinks it is not on line anymore although it says it is. I am about to take the whole thing out in the driveway and drive over it, several times. It is probable that I have different accounts on line as I have reinstalled this thing multiple times on different computers trying to make it work. I would like to check on that, How in the [edited] do I do that??????

Hi Gunfighter,

Because your incident involves your specific account, I have sent you a Private Message. Could you please check your PMs and reply to me there?

Re: No cameras or sites have been defined

Lenny, That seems to have solved that part of the problem. However the remaining part is that I cannot arm the email alerts. When I try to do that it says " there is a problem retrieving the online settings". If I run the diagnostics it says the system is online and all else checks out OK but it also says that email service is "disconnected". How do I re-connect that??

Hi Gunfighter,

I just changed some of the features of your account. See if you can log into your online Alert account and change the email Alerts there. Let me know if there are any error messages or anything.

Re: No cameras or sites have been defined

Logilenny,

I've been experiencing this problem since the software update.  I've tried removing and re-finding my cameras and I can see my cameras from the Logitech Commander software, but I'm unable to view my camera remotely anymore.  Are you able to PM me to try the same solution you tried with the other user?

Thanks
