What are the Pros/Cons of going POE vs Homeplug (powerline) data transmission?
I originally set mine up using the Homplug technology because it was easier but I'm wondering if some of the latency/ghost images seen using Blue Iris is due to this method of data transfer.
Can someone tell me the pros/cons of each method?
Thanks...

The only Con I can think of is having to run ethernet cables...but lots of Pros <g> I'm all PoE with PoE switches & router on UPS...extremely stable.

I recently have had a lot of issues with my cameras going offline at my vacation home (2 hours away). I decided to download the new software and camera firmware as well as go POE. It has worked like a charm. The injector I purchased is listed on Amazon.com (Alfa V IEEE802.3af PoE Injector) for less than 25.00 each. I now have one installed at both my houses (different type of routers) and they both work great. Hope this helps anyone who is suffering the same type of issues...
