Please read this Evan Tree - Chief Product Officer @ Alert/Wilife Security Cameras

I have just read your latest post about "Logitech Tips and Trix - Making the most of motion detection" see below reference link.

-Have you ever before this time looked at this forum what your customers are reporting. I really hope that your post is a big mistake due to lack of communication from your development and product team because from many of us Alert customers the blog post is a joke. I mean it's really nice that you blog about the product but seriously the main topic and headline for the post "Making the most of motion detection" and I hope you do now know about the current situation because if you do, then a potential new customer could get the impression that the product in this phase have a excellent motion detection and alert functionality - that is NOT true at the moment.

I know, the development and product team are working on getting a solution of these problems even if we have now waited quite long for that but we are patience customers so far, but read through the reportings on this forum and I guess you would get a slightly different view of what the status really are (?). Some customers have even reported that there has been burglary and the so called "motion detection" and "alerts" did not even record that, just part of it and would not stand in a court. My self and others have spent many-many hours unplugging, reinstalling, format SD-cards, factory resetting etc etc plus sending reports and diagnostics to the development/support teams and if you ask me we have come to a time where this need to come to a stable level so we can sign your statement in the last rows of your post;

"So, set up your alerts and leave the house with peace of mind knowing you will be kept in the loop with what’s happening on the home front." Quote from Evan Tree's blog

-Please do take this as constructive feedback and not pure whining, we are in spite the customers here and we really want this product to work as intended no doubt about that. I also guess most of us are willing to put even more hours to get this security platform to work with baseline functionalities as motion detection and alerts - but PLEASE communicate more and better what is coming up rather than published obsolete information that maybe was what you have planned for the product but the reality has run ahead.

Looking forward if some Logitech Alert official could send a PM to Evan Tree that this "open letter" has been published so we can both help as much as we can to get this to work and that the essential functionality will be in place asap.

best regards

[ Edited ]

Apologies for the delay in my response.

The Logitech Alert team is constantly working to better our products and customer input plays a huge factor in this process. We often include “how-to” posts on the Logitech blog so existing customers can bring themselves up to speed on current product offerings and features that they might have otherwise missed.

With that said, we take feedback like yours very seriously. In bringing this matter up with my team, it looks like they are one step ahead of me and have already engaged with you directly. This is great to hear, and we welcome your continued input.

Thanks Evan for your reply and welcome to this forum :smileywink:

Hopefully you have read some of the posts in this forum and can see that we have quite big issues with the motion detection in various forms and understand some of our frustrations. We are many that want to help out with coming to the better on the Alert platform so hopefully an upgrade soon will take this to a better level.
