As a new Logitech Alert owner, I have to say I'm impressed with the quality of the video and the general sturdiness of the hardware. However, I want to add my voice regarding two issues I've seen mentioned previously on this forum:
1. The video itself should have a time stamp on it. This is something I never suspected would be missing, as it's such a common feature on all types of cameras.
2. The motion detection needs work. As others have mentioned, I get recordings when the motion is well outside the detection zones I've set up.
One other item: Although the premier web service is reasonably priced, the performance is poor. I can understand it being slow to upload - most residential internet connections are optimized for download, not upload. But it seems that after I watch a few recorded clips, the site stops responding. I'd definitely purchase a subscription if it was more responsive. As it is, I will probably just let my trial expire.
I was really pleased that I got two cameras installed and operating on a Saturday morning, and I may add another one or two to my system. With a couple of changes this could go from a good system to a fantastic one!
