Strange Router Issue...

Every time I plug in my powerline network adapter for my 2 700i Alert cameras, my router disconnects all connected devices. No other device (iPhone or desktop) can reconnect. If I unplug the adapter, everything can reconnect. I tried a different router and the same thing occurs. Any suggestions how to troubleshoot this issue?

Re: Strange Router Issue...

I have the same problem and posted a message earlier (see below). I have been working with support but so far, no help.

Multiple Master Systems On a Single Network Problem 06-30-201209:43 AM

I have one master system with six cameras, am trying to add a second one on a second computer on the same network. I have follwed all the recommended steps of setting unique security keys for each system and cameras. Either system works fine independently, but as soon as both master systems are connected to the network, the entire network crashes. I have to unplug either/or master system, then reboot the router. I am using a Cisco EA4500 router. I have submitted a support request twice but have not been able to resolve. I would appreciate any help from any networking gurus that may have any suggestions. Thanks.

Re: Strange Router Issue...

Chas4th, that sounds like it might be a bad powerline bridge adapter...

F4U-Corsair, Do you have any suggestions for my post, also listed here, with the same issue?

Re: Strange Router Issue...

TWestbrook, are you trying to use two bridge units or just one?

Yeah, that was my question too--you only need to use one bridge--putting on a second one will probably confuse the heck out of the router.

Re: Strange Router Issue...

I am using 700/750E cameras. I didn't notice that chas4th was using i series. I have provided more info thru support request, see Question Reference 120625-003256. This support request is still outstanding, please help. Thanks.
