microsd card editing

is there a way to remotely edit/delete unwanted files in the microsd card in the camera? or you have to remove the microsd card from the camera and do it on your pc?

Re: microsd card editing

Currently there is no way to remotely edit/delete those clips on the camera.  If you remove the SD and edit on the PC, keep in mind that there is a snapshot as well as a video clip for each event there...and an index file that keeps up with everthing on the SD...so coupled with the pain of removing the SD card ( w/camera unplugged ), not something you'd want to do under normal circumstances <g>  Once the clips are copied to the PC, you can easily edit there...and simply reformat the SD from Alert Commander if need be to remove clips.

Re: microsd card editing

thanks!

if the remote pc is on and there is a recording happening on camera, is the snapshots/events recorded first in the microsd card then copied in to the pc? or does it bypass the microsd card and record directly into the pc (pc is on)? and the microsd card recording only happens when the remote pc is off.

Re: microsd card editing

The SD always gets the recordings...if the PC/Alert Commander is on, it will then copy it from the SD.

@hughwho - You are able to format the SD card (in Alert Commander and Web Commander settings). Just make sure that you have saved any wanted recordings to your computer's harddrive first.
