Anyone using PS2 G-X2D11 Cordless action on a PC with USB adapter?

I've just got two of these, they sync fine if I connect them to the playstation 2, and my USB/Playstation adapter works fine with standard PS2 controllers but when the cordless controllers are plugged in the light just blinks. I'm guessing that the USB adapter doesn't output the correct amount of power for the reciever or something and I can understand logitech can't support it but I just want to know if there is a *different* USB adapter I can buy which others have had some success with.

The one I'm using currently is http://www.amazon.com/Dual-Controller-Adapter-Converter-Playstation-2/dp/B001AATQ0Y/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1... which as I said, works fine with official PS2 controllers, and also a couple of other corded 3rd party controllers.

I think I found the solution - http://logitech.lithium.com/t5/PlayStation-2-READ-ONLY-ARCHIVE/Cordless-Action-Controller-to-PC-via-...

Now the question is, where can I find an adapter that just *works* I really don't think I can be bothered soldering a resistor onto my current one to get the needed 3.3v on pin 5

The first Logitech PS2 Wireless controller I bought worked with my USB adapter.  The 3 I have bought since don't.  I have the same problem as you, 1st party PS2 controllers work with the USB adapter but not the Logitech ones.  I have tried 2 different USB adapters, was going to keep trying different adapters.

The powered USB hub without the power is worth a try IMO.  If anyone out there pops for one and it works without the power, as suggested in the other thread, let us know won't you please? thanks

I plugged in my Logitech G-X2D11 receiver and controller to my PC today and it works with rumble and all buttons recognized.  No hub required.  I am using a X58 motherboard I just got, so it may work for you too on that mobo type.  ASRock X58 Extreme to be precise.

Also, it could be my PSU as well.  I am using Corsair TX950W.  The PS adatper and Logitech receiver stay lit after I turn off my PC which reminds me of a powered USB hub.

Re: Anyone using PS2 G-X2D11 Cordless action on a PC with USB adapter?

In my laptop, I'm trying to connect the G-X2D11 with this adapter  from Vinyson Electronic, this is what i see:

- Looking at this image i can say the adapter gives 5.5V from my laptop usb directly to the g-x2d11 receptor

- The receptor just blinks

- Of course the gamepad has batteries xd

Also i have tried with a powered usb hub, but is the same...

Any other idea?

Thank you

Re: Anyone using PS2 G-X2D11 Cordless action on a PC with USB adapter?

Is the receiver blinking red or green?  If red, it is not connected properly and isn't recognized by your system.  If green, you have to to make the receiver recognize the controller by pressing buttons until the green light on the receiver stays activated in sync with you pressing buttons on the controller.
