Hey everyone. I bought a Driving Force GT a few days ago online, and when it arrived I ran into a problem. I followed the instructions in setting it up, but after turning on the PS3, the wheel fails to calibrate. It spins all the way to the right, stops for maybe five seconds, then all the way to the left, stops again, and then to the right again where it remains stopped. The wheel does not return to the center and the GT logo in the center flashes continuously when it's supposed to remain solid.
All of the buttons on the wheel, as well as the petals, work perfectly fine. But in GT5 Prologue the wheel itself is doesn't work at all. I also tried on my PC, and had the same issue. The Logitech drivers confirm that all the buttons and petals work, but nothing happens when I turn the wheel.
I'm ready to send it back for a replacement, but figured I'd ask here to see if anyone has had similar problems and somehow managed to fix it. I've been searching for over an hour for a solution and can't find anything. :/

Same problem here. Worked perfectly for more than a year on PS3. Then the PC drivers came out. I tried the wheel with a few games but the calibration kept getting thrown further and further off. Quiting a game and un/replugging USB recentered the wheel at first but NFS for example would calibrate the wheel to the left. I stopped using the wheel on the pc with that driver version and didn't try the wheel again until a new driver version was released. Testing with this driver resulted in my wheel getting the exact calibration results as described here. Connecting back to PS3 GT5P did not resolve my problem either.
I picked up GT5 PS3 today and connected the wheel to see what I get. I get the same problem as described here. I have been trying to make this work far more than I am willing to type out. Has anyone found a solution to this problem, I have noticed many others affected but no solution. Just a bunch of closed threads. I have personally submitted two tickets to Logitech about this issue since it happened but have never gotten a response. It was a really fun controller to play with and I would like for it to work again. Help please!

I'm having the same problem. I get a noticeable amount of play in the steering wheel all of a sudden while playing gran turismo 5. I bought this wheel specifically for GT5 and it's the only game i've used this wheel with. I've been using the wheel since November 24th. Today is the 29th and the wheel is already giving me issues. Does anyone know how to fix the play in a logitech Driving force GT?

If you are having issues where the wheel does not calibrate to center or drifts from center, I recommend contacting support via phone or email for assistance.

I think you guys should reset the steer and everything if that is possible.
The first thing I did after unpacking, I plugged it in my PS3 and it worked like a charm.. I still haven't plugged it in a pc or laptop so maybe thats the difference..

@Piguus - u need to switch off everything, then plug the wheel into your system and then switch it on - it should calibrate normally stopping in the center position. Just plug in everything before switching on the system.
