Re: Driving Force GT Stopped Calibrating/Steering

Sweden.

Since my second wheel broke ive been in contact with Logitech support and they told me to send the wheel back to the store and get a new one shipped emedietly.

They said it was a DOA (Dead on arrival) case.

Hopefully I wont have to wait another month. **bleep** the game (GT5) will be old soon :smileywink:

CU on the track.

Re: Driving Force GT Stopped Calibrating/Steering

I've had this same problem and the only thing I've had from Logitech is a crap attitude. And not the first issue either.

I would not recommend this wheel. You're better off paying more for the G27. Or even better the new Thrustmaster.

I'm pretty pissed Logitech will flood the market with poor quality peripherils and neglect to support their customers.

I will not be buying anything else Logitech if I can help it and certainly not recommending them to anyone else.

I've exhausted all avenues with this so it's destined for the land fill. Real green of you Logitech.

... my 2 cents.

Re: Driving Force GT Stopped Calibrating/Steering

Okay this is starting to get beyond a joke.

It has been almost 2 months since I first posted here and since I first tried getting my broken Driving Force GT replaced and my place of purchase still doesn't have any stock. How bloody long must I wait to get my broken item replaced? It only worked for 2 months from new before it broke and it has been sitting around in the box for the last 2 months waiting for some bloody stock to arrive at the store. Seriously, what is the hold up?

Not to make matters worse but the receipt from place of purchase is printed with crappy ink and it is already nearly impossible to read as it has faded quite bad. They know about my broken wheel as I've rang them a bunch of times but if they try and pull something funny when they finally do get stock because my receipt is unreadable I will be extremely pissed off.

Get your act together Logitech and hurry up with more wheels. They have been out of stock for most of the country (Australia) since late November/early December. Over 3 months and you still haven't replenished stock? Poor form.

G25, G27, DFP, DFGT are the same inside. So they have same failure level.

[ Edited ]

Same here, 3 months ago when i took back my DFGT, which has the same problem as yours, I ordered a G27 and I was told that it would be a month. 2 months later I still have no sign of it and the store im getting it from keeps telling me the same thing "it should be here friday" for the last month. Im getting really annoyed here and I was also supposed to be told about what was wrong with my DFGT and still nothing either. I dunno if logitech are being lazy or they are extremy busy, but really waiting this long for a response and a delivery is really pushing it too far. Logitech really need to get their act together.

Re: Driving Force GT Stopped Calibrating/Steering

2 years ago I bought DFGT and it worked for 2months then it died - would not power up.  Back then JB Hifi gave me a full refund, only after a month of fighting with them.  They would not take it back since it was after one month.

Now I just bought one this morning - played in the morning for half an hour, plugged it in this evening.  DEAD.  Like what the???  Hopefully DSE will exchange it on the spot...

Its a good wheel but I am extremely dissapointed that it just might DIE on me when it feels like...

Re: Driving Force GT Stopped Calibrating/Steering

I just bought a brand new driving force gt wheel pulled it out the box and plugged it into my ps3 and nothing the center gt symbol didn't light up but i didn't think nothing of it. i go into gt5 and start a race and the wheel doesn't turn the car. all the buttons work the pedals work it just won't turn the **bleep** car.i thought logitech was quality. my headset is made by them so i guess they must have rushed this one out no wonder their out of stock they realize their product is crap and they need to change it before they make more. i was a avid buyer of logitech products but this particular one is the worst piece of crap i have ever bought. hope when i return this i get one that works cause it looks awesome and sounds like it is even better when it works right. fingers crossed i get one that works.

Re: Driving Force GT Stopped Calibrating/Steering

An update on my situation. I read on another forum that shops were finally getting these back in stock in Australia so I took mine down to my local shop yesterday and while they had a few in stock they flat out would NOT exchange my broken wheel. They told me that this particular Logitech product has to be sent away to be fixed and CANNOT be exchanged. I was furious but gave them my details and broken wheel to get the process underway. They told me it could take up to 45 days. Here is why I am angry. Why do I have to wait ANOTHER 45 days for my broken wheel to be fixed that: a) broke after only 2 months of use b) has a 12 month warranty, and c) I paid good money for This is absolutely ridiculous Logitech. Why am I, someone who bought your product after being recommended to, being punished with having to wait a month and a half for a repaired wheel, rather than a brand new one off the shelf? You are making me wait for something that should NOT have broken after only 2 months of use. Bloody ridiculous and poor form Logitech.

Also forgot to add that I will not be recommending your products to anyone in the future after this absolutely ridiculously poor customer support.

Re: Driving Force GT Stopped Calibrating/Steering

Another update on my situation. It's been a little over 2 weeks since I took my wheel back and they sent it away to get repaired. They rang back today and said "Your wheel can not be repaired so we can replace it for you. Come in and see us" so finally after all of this time I will have a new wheel replacing my faulty one, something which I wanted 3-4 months ago. A lot of wasted time and effort for something I wanted to begin with. I am still unhappy about everything that has happened but I'm just glad I have a new wheel and can start racing again.
