Same problem now with the wheel calibration, only started to do it yesterday. Can someone from Logitech please reply with some useful information or I'm taking this wheel back, getting a thrustmaster & never buying Logitech again. Its rediculouse I didn't pay $169 for a wheel that lasts 3 months. Mostly bolted to a bench not being used.

The Force Feedback of this wheel is stupid. The fact that there is no way to turn it off properly (at least with GT5) is a joke and poor product design. It's not realistic, seems random, and frankly, is not a feature everyone wants (including me). Why Logitech didn't think about this is questionable. At the very least you should be able to turn it off. When I unplug the AC, as everyone suggests, the whole wheel stops working.

The only thing this wheel has done is create a headache for me and my kids. It's going back to the store tomorrow and I'll never buy another Logitech product.

Hi, i'm having a slight issue with my driving force gt at the moment: Basically when I plug it in nothing happens, i just doesn't turn on. The last time it was used it was fine but now as I say it doesn't turn on. It hasn't be dropped or anything since the last time it worked and there no signs of any cosmetic damage, I have also checked the power supply to make sure thats working, which it is.

Any suggestions will greatly appreciated.

Hi, i am having the same problem as Jordan my steering wheel doesn't move even though I plug in the power. I even change to  other socket but the problem still happened. I have not been using this unit for 3 month beside I seldom use and it just about 1 yr and 4 months old only.

Please can any one help?

Dear Jordan,

I faced the same problem before, firstly you need to plug the usb first to your PS3 console and plug the power before you on your PS3. I did it and its works. Note: dont on your PS3 before you plug your steering's USB. Hope this help.

Your wheel is functioning as intended, it's just a perfecrly horrid steering wheel. I too find the force feedback a bit much. I also have it set to 1 in GT5 and its not too bad actually but at the 1 setting it should be barely noticable.  The jerking at high speed I also dont mind as it takes the boredom out of straights and really only requires a token amount of pressure on the wheel on the 1 setting. My problem with the force feedback is that it would be nice to be able to turn it off but you are stuck with it whether you like it or not.

    The thing that makes this wheel useless is the 900 degrees setting you seem to be stuck with in GT5. for a wheel that is supposedly designed for GT5 it's suprisingly bad. For a car like the red bull prototype this wheel is awesome, the red bull is absolutely lethal(in a good way) with this wheel. Other F1 or similarly built cars are also ok with this wheel. Anything else is pure misey and almost undrivable due to this ridiculous 900 degree mode. I drive a 2 tonne 4WD and even it doesn't require as much wheel working as most of the cars in GT5 with this wheel. It's like steering the Titanic around an iceberg. The rudder is to small and it aint gonna happen. Time to abandon ship.

I cannot begin to tell you how disappointed/angry/frustrated I am with that joke of a steering wheel you call DFGT!

I have now got to the point where I am laughing at it! It shall be going back tomorrow - I've only had it for less than 1 hour! I couldn't even keep a Fiat Panda in a straight line lol (that's a 'lol' tinged with anger, lol (lol)).

I have had GT5 since the release date and always used a controller and to take it to the 'next step' (lol), I thought I would invest in the (cough) Driving Force G T. That was the worst £89.99 I have ever spent, even worse than the last pair of Levis that I bought. WHAT IS THAT FORCE FEEDBACK ALL ABOUT EH? If my car did that on the motorway I would be dead as Dillinger. WHY ON EARTH DOES THE WHEEL ALIGN ITSELF ALL THE TIME TO WHICH EVER WAY IT PLEASES, EH? EH? If my car did that on the motorway, I would not even have a chance to take it back to Renault and open legal proceedings against them for their poor servicing, wheel tracking and build quality because, guess what, I would be dead as Dillinger.

I have messed about with all the wheel settings, read many forums in this 1 hour, did what people said, unplugged this and changed that but the net result is this... I totally loathe the wheel at think I would get more pleasure from setting fire to it (after I had smashed it to pieces with a hammer, naturally) and urinating on the ashes. Please, if you are readind this DO NOT BUY THE WHEEL!

Now, for my next point, I honestly do not care what you or others believe - I hold an actual race licence and have competed successfully (and unsuccessfully!) in a national UK motorsport championship, racing single seaters. I'm not going to go into detail because like I said, I do not care what anyone thinks here, I am just 'venting'! Racing cars, just like road cars, do not behave like what that joke of a wheel does! At over 150+ mph down the old Rivett straight at Snetterton I can drive with one hand (maybe changing gear) without fear I am going to be speared into a barrier... My Fiat Panda has about 50bhp and doing 45mph was an achievement . I bought the wheel thinking not only would it be great fun, but will help keep me 'sharp' when not at the circuit. Must state again, I do not care for any doubters so don't waste your time - that's even if my miserable post get posted before the Logitech police read it!

Cut a long story short, I am embarrassed when I hear about comments being made about how 'real' it is and 'I couldn't drive without FF' blah blah blah. Total codswallop. Have these people ever driven anything in real life? I will be scouting the internet after this for the cheapest wheel out there - it won't be hard to find a good one, I'll just read all the reviews that say how unrealistic it is! hahahaha!

And on that bombshell, I wish you all the best for improving that monstrosity - that monstrosity which is aligned at the 4 o' clock position...

Calculon - SO, on the misalingment issue, that sounds like a bad calibration ring, which can happen. Support can assist with that. On the feedback feeling issue, what game are you using it on?
