[ Edited ]

My wheel was running great in some Truck/Farm simulators I was playing. Couldnt fault it. I bought another game called 18 Wheels of Steal Long Haul but the wheel wouldnt work for it until I managed to find the latest update for the wheel on the Logitech website.

Once installed it played the game well apart from fighting the Force Feedback, its real stiff in this game for some reason. Once I had enough of it I went back to the other two games I had and now I cant seem to turn off brake/reverse. Soon as I get into a machine brake/reverse is activated and nothing will stop it. Im so over it! Ive tried disconnecting the pedals and the same thing happens. Ive changed the key config and it still activates. The update has done something and I have no idea how to uninstall it!!!! Arrrgggggg!!!!!!

I pulled apart the pedals to see if the little unit was winding all the way back.....yep it is...what the hell!! I go to calibration in Control Panel and all is fine....Its obviously a software problem  but I have no idea where to start looking for the file....

Re: Driving Force GT problems

We got the Logitech Driving Force Wireless recently.  On GT5, have set the vibration to lowest level.  It is way too much feedback and takes over the steering wheel too much.  Very disappointed that Logitech didn't have just a simple on/off feature on the steering wheel for the Force Feedback.  Since I have the wireless, I cannot do the trick that others have posted where they cannot unplug the power and leave the USB cable plugged in.  If I unplug the power, I would lose the wireless connection.

Does anyone know if there's a wire that can be cut inside the unit?

This is ridiculous that so many users have posted problems with the Force Feedback that could have been easily solved by Logitech in their design.
