Benx: Make sure that your AC adapter is firmly secured in the back of the wheel and into the wall.  The wheel will auto calibrate when the PS3 is turned on.  If it isn't calibrating, it may have a faulty adapter.  I'd give support a call at this point and see what they can do for you.

mboydillybee: That sounds like a power issue.  You can test your wheel on a  PC and see if the functionality is the same.  Also, double check your AC adapter and make sure it is connected securely.

Re: Driving Force Pro on PS3

is the force feedback on the DFP supposed to work in GT5? I have a DF wheel and the FF also does not work. when trying to change the power of the FF in game options, both the DFP and the DF wheels show that you can't change the force. So I assumed that for some unknown reason GT5 does not support FF on these wheels. Am I wrong?

MrPloppy: If the PS3 auto-calibrates the wheel during it's startup, then we know the force feedback is working (you may also test this on a PC).  If the wheel does not work within the game after we know it auto-calibrates, then there is a conflict with the way the game detected the wheel and you'd need to contact the developer.

Have you figured out the problem with your wheel? I have the same problem, I start the system and the LED light just sits there and blinks.

How do you know if the wheel auto calibrates?

Re: Driving Force Pro on PS3

It rotates one direction, then the other, and then back to center.

Re: Driving Force Pro on PS3

looks like it's the period of the year...

I had a DFP, used it with Gran Turismo 5 and it worked just fine, until yesterday evening.

For a complete unknown reason, it won't auto-calibrate, there's no respons from the buttons and the two leds keep on flashing.

I checked all the cables and everything is connected the right way.

It would be great if someone could tell me and the others what to do....

Re: Driving Force Pro on PS3

I have the same problem. Bought mine in 2005! Had lots of fun with it, never any problems, even had 5 year old kids playing with it.  The best wheel I've ever bought, but for some reason it just stopped working. Played GT4, then GT5, no problems, with FF, but a week ago it all just stopped. Upon starting the PS3 system, it doesn't calibrate, no lights, nothing. I checked the AC adaptor, got a solid 23.8V coming out the end. Being an electrician helps, opened it up, tested all the wires, nothing broken. Must be an electronic thing, or hard coded self destruct thingy?!?

But I must say, I'm very impressed with it. To have lasted that long with someone like me, it was an awesome piece of tech. Now have to get a new wheel. Any suggestions? I was looking at the G27, but don't know if it's fully compatible with the PS3, otherwise just get a DFGT. But is the build quality the same?

Just don't know...

But thanks Logitech, had a crap load of fun with this product
