I'm also hoping for a patch to address this.
Like much of GT5, it's great 90% of the time, but let down by the other 10%. Not sure how much influence Logitech has, but if it's being advertised as compatible with GT5, full compatibility should be available.

Yea using the clutch in this game is annoying!!!! It works sometimes. I can't really shift fast with this wheel!
EXample: I'm driving at full open throttle and then try to shift fast, it doesn't go into my next gear but instead goes into neutral.
It seems as though you have to place a delay in your shift.. take your foot fully off the gas, press the clutch all the way, shift, remove your foot fully off the clutch then gas.. If you don't do this.. it puts your car in neutral making you lose valuable seconds on the track ![]()

I'm fed up with this wheel, i paid 300€ for it, and it does not work well in GT5 (force feedback deactivates after some time, wheel becomes loose and unplug/plug does nothing), and in PC games too (F1 2010, Grid).
It also has a huge force deadzone!
I thought i had bought one of the best wheels available on the market, but i was totally wrong, my sidewinder force feedback i got long before was way better and i had no problems with it!
Thinking about returning it to the store and get another product instead!
Very very disappointed with Logitech now!

You apparently have a broken G27. Normal G27 works just fine with GT5 and force feedback never de-activates, neither is the wheel loose. I recommend taking your unit to the reseller you bought it from for replacement.
It is by far the best generally available wheel out there and best one for GT5 as well.

Polyphony Digital's Kazunori Yamauchi just stated on his Twitter account that they are working on getting G25 and G27 fully supported on the game ie. that both wheels have it's own config options and all G27 buttons are usable in the game.

Bought a Logitech G27 as well. Quite disappointed you cannot remap the buttons on the steering wheel. While other logitech steering wheels are fully supported, the best steering wheel has to deal with standard configuration.
For instance, when you want to drift, you will definitely need the handbrake. If you want to use it, you will need to take off your hand of the steering wheel, reach for a small button in the top right corner of the shifter, it is stupidity. There are several buttons on the steering wheel itself, which are useless at the moment, use them instead of the shifter buttons.
Please Logitech do something.

Another dissapointed G27 user here, everything works but the "steering" Grand Turismo 5 on the PS3, thougfht the wheel would be fun. I have had just too many faulty Logitec products. Off to return this garbage and have "finally" learnded to stay away from "any" Logitec product.

Hey are any of you having the h-shifter problem i'm having??
When i try to shift say from 2nd to 3rd. It goes to neutral??????
So annoying and makes me have to resort to using the paddle shifter instead.... In the game i see the racer reaching for the h-shifter not paddle shifting!!
