Hi,

Since July I have been having problems with my G27. I first noticed that a serious amount of play in the steering wheel developed quite quickly and it became unusable. In desperation I took my G27 apart and found that the front bearing on the steering wheel axle had sprung the ball retaining clip hence allowing all six balls to nestle together, and therefore causing the excessive play.

I fixed the problem and carried on using my G27 but the problem has occured twice more since. I am now considering replacing the front bearing altogether. I think I have found a suitable replacement on the internet.

replacement bearing, 6910ZZ from VXB all fitted and working fine. G27 now like new

I have since uploaded a load of pictures and instructions regarding fixing or replacing the G27 front bearing.
