Re: Getting the G930 headset to work with PS3 HAS to be some sort of way

Sony has allowed the lastest patch 3.70 for sound in usb they are coming out with the Sony PS3 Surrond Sound Headset that is wireless 7.1 virtual but still 7.1, and the G930 adapter used to This device is not compatable with the ps3 and now it just blinks and does not say that so yea will you make a adapter or a ps3 add one?

There is a way to get the mic working on the ps3 from the G930 headset just plug in the usb to your ps3 adn go to accessory settings then go to audio device settings and change the input and output devices to the headset but only the input mic will work trying to figure out the output

Sooo...why would you "not get into" explaining the steps to connect these headshpnes to a PS3 when this post was created asking for help connecting these headphones to a PS3???  That's like putting up your grandma's cookie recipe in response to a call for technical help.  Totally useless ZZZMrSleepy.

Re: Getting the G930 headset to work with PS3 HAS to be some sort of way

I'm calling bullsh*t on that answer.

The PS2 & PS3 absolutely transmit sound over USB.

How do I know?

1) Well for one, I've tried it with normal run of the mill USB headsets.

2) Second, if you remember, Sony distributed SOCOM for the PS2 that came with a USB headset.   Surprise, that headset works for a PS3 as well.

3) I've even used USB dongle for Bluetooth headsets (I know PS3 has BT support) to try headsets successfully.

I'm sorry, but while I like Logitech products (though less and less every year as I find build quality plummeting compared to competition), Logitech support is notoriously ignorant of their products and the technology.    (Specially as I've had Logitech support reps tell me that they never manufacturered producst that I was holding in my hand... like a Unifying USB version of their diNovo mini Keyboard).
