I'd like to say that this issue has happened to all three sets of the logitech f540. The first time it happened support made me send the whole entire thing back and sent me a brand new one. The same thing happened to one they sent out again and there was no way I was going to be out of my headset for another three weeks like the first time.

Then the pair I got for my nephew the same thing happened. Nothing in troubleshooting has said try replacing the cord or anything. You can't even buy a replacement cord from you! Very disapointing. I love everything about the headset but this problem, which hinders the whole entire reason why you even want to use this headset to begin with.

Luckily, after searching for a few nights, I was able to find a cord that got my headset working again! I got it from amazon and I'd suggest anyone that comes across this thread, like I did while trying to find a solution, buy in order to get there headset working again.

This cord is  a simple male to male 2.5mm cord that is only 6 dollars shipped. It fixed the problem! It is a more durable cord which you can tell by the thickness compared to the one included with the logitech headset.

I'd suggest keeping this post up to help your customers as well. I also would not mind a follow up email on to why this has happened to every pair of this headset I have owned! These things are not inexpensive!

Where did you guys get another 2.5 mm xbox chat cable??

Don't buy it from the amazon link, that cable does not fit the headset.

Here is the link to buy it from Logitech, however, buying a new cable did not fix the mic for me.
