PS3 Buzzers made by Logitech (re-syncing)?

Is it possible to re-sync PS3 wireless Buzzers. At least dongle is made by Logitech. These Buzzers and dongle are without resync/power buttons. I found some user guide in FCC archives that says re-sync is needed if buzzer is replaced. But there is no instruction how to do that.

Re: PS3 Buzzers made by Logitech (re-syncing)?

Hello TimZZ,

Here it is:

Pairing the Wireless Buzz!™ Buzzers
These Wireless Buzz!™ Buzzers have already been paired with the supplied USB receiver. If a
replacement Buzz!™ Buzzer is introduced, all four Wireless Buzz!™ Buzzers must be paired with
the USB receiver again.
• Push the POWER/LOCK switch on all four Wireless Buzz!™ Buzzers into the POWER position
and hold it for four seconds, until their blue LED indicators glow continuously. Be sure to
perform this operation within two metres of the PlayStation®2 console or the PLAYSTATION®3
system.
• Press and hold the BIND button on the USB receiver. Its blue LED indicator will glow and fl ash
once as each Buzz!™ Buzzer successfully pairs.
• As each Buzz!™ Buzzer pairs with the USB receiver, its blue LED indicator and red Buzz!™
button will fl ash briefl y, indicating a successful connection and pairing. To test the connection,
press any button and the blue LED indicator on the Buzz!™ Buzzer and the USB receiver will
fl ash briefl y.
• The USB receiver will pair with a maximum of four Wireless Buzz!™ Buzzers. To play with fi ve to
eight Wireless Buzz!™ Buzzers, a second USB receiver is required.

We need to get a new USB receiver.  Are all of the Buzz wireless products by Logitech?  How/where do I get a new USB receiver?

Hello alisapooh,

The manufacturer is Namtai  . If you have a part number from the receiver I can check it with our data base . You may want to contact Sony.

This is not exactly correct!

Are you really sure?

If you check FCC ID in this page http://transition.fcc.gov/oet/ea/fccid/ "JNZ CX50001" it gives manufacturer "Logitech Far East Ltd"

These Buzzers and dongle made by Logitech does not have BIND buttons and these are not REBINDABLE!! These BUZZERS are useless if you loose or break your dongle! Those instructions given in Buzzers manual and answer 2 does not apply to Logitech Buzzers. There is error in manual made by Sony.

Namtai branded dongle and buzzers are FCC ID "VZV BUZZ02" and gives manufacturer "NAMTAI ELECTRONIC(SHENZHEN) COMPANY LIMITED"

I have two sets made by both manufacturers.

You can also check picture of dongles here -> http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/703/img0846f.jpg/

There is no BLUE LED and Power/Bind switch in Logitech Buzzers like Namtai has. Left one is Namtai and right in Logitech ->http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/821/img0848by.jpg/

Hello TimZZ,

Thanks for the info !  Here is a link to the manual . UK Version http://uk.playstation.com/media/114336/Web_Wireless_Buzz_Buzzer_GB.pdf

The blue light is on the dongle .

I see that there is no power lock button on the buzzer ...   I believe that Logitech only made the receivers not the buzzer .  If it were me tiring to replace this receiver , I would start with Sony .

Hi,

These instructions are for NAMTAI not for Logitech! You can find Logitech instructions in FCC database. Those are different but someone hase made mistake to supply false instructions with other Buzzers.

As you see in pictures I have taken there is NO power switch or BLUE led in Buzzers that came with Logitech dongle. You can also check documents you have supplied to FCC and also ask guy in your company who has signed those documents.

Here is pictures of faces of Buzzers. Left one has blue led and is made by Namtai and right one DOES not have blue led and is made by Logitech or someone else -> http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/151/img0850h.jpg/

There is also no Blue Led in dongle, it's red.

These Buzzers are also made by Logitech. As you see in picture taken of Buzzer without blue led or power switch ->  http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/804/img0855q.jpg/

There is FCC ID "JNZ ex5e16" which is also Logitech Far East LTD.

There is also pictures and manual that show that there is no leds or buttons for binding. Sony or some one else is now delivering false user manual.

OK, so we have the one with the switch on it.  So it sounds like I can get a new dongle for them??

Hi,

Then you should contact Namtai instead of Logitech.
