I have the F540 since yesterday. I have plugged the PC into the mini USB port on the controller box and a radio into the male to male aux input. I am unable to switch between these two inputs. I get the radio predominantly and the Windows system sounds through the same connection (right most light is lit- No response to the switch inputs switch on the headset.

The USB port was designed to use PS3 voice chat, so in your case you won't be able to hear audio separetely using this port because is only for the microphone (and voice chat), and actually this USB port isn't a separate input.
As this device was not designed to be used in a PC, connections are not so simple. In order to use the aux input, the microphone and to hear the PC audio, you will need to connect the computer using the 3.5 mm aux input, or a 3.5 mm Male jack to male RCA and use either the xbox or ps3 input, the a USB cable to use the microphone, and then the radio to the aux input (or RCA). and then you'll be able to switch between PC and Radio using the input button.
