Just updated to v1.2... thanks for the heads up....

Will try the G27 wheel later on tonight and report back...

Hopefully another game we can now use properly with the G27.....

My G27 is not recognised with NFS HP. In the game settings menu under controller, there seems to be no options to select a wheel or any racing wheel as a matter of fact. I'm currently got the G27 plugged into USB socket 1 and the hand controller is coming up as controller 2.

I tried switching the DS3 to controller 1 and still nothing is happening with the wheel.

The 1.2 patch says that the deadzone is fixed and my understanding is that the G27 should work.

So what am I doing wrong?

Put your controller away & turn off game. DO NOT USE YOUR CONTROLLER

Now make sure your G27 is plugged in a electrically outlet and plugged into your PS3. Then restart your PS3. First you should see the wheel automatically start syncing up. (IMPORTANT): ONLY use the buttons on your gearshift to get into and move around in the game and DO NOT use your controller. The second from the right big red button on the gearshift console is the start-up button.

Right, reporting back, NFS Hot Pursuit works fine, the handling with the G27 seems spot on...I can't get the shifter to work though, I exepct the game is for auto shifting only.... The game dyamics are hit and miss... There's seems to be good grip when driving fast..force feedback seems ok and acceptable...  However, have an impact against say a wall, fence or another  vehicle and the force feedback is non existant.. I hope EA can improve the force feedback dyamics.. then this game will be superb....

Good to hear you got it up and running.

My force feedback works----I'm at work right now, but try go into the PS3 settings (possibly accessories) and look to see if you got to check "on" for force feedback---really not sure about this, but mine does works.

The shifter does not work in this game----don't need it, cause the cars only have automatic transmissions.

To me, it's a great game and ever better w/ the G27!!

I'm having a lot of fun with NFS, reminds me of the good old ps2 days with burnout..... having said that, i've gone and got hold of DIRT 2 and F1 2010 and goodness me, those games have superior handling with the G27. F1 2010 is simply superb, eventhough I keep underbraking and crashing into the barriers or gravel traps....

Yea after reading this thread about how NFS Hot Pursuit now work with the G27 on the PS3 I finally got it over the weekend.  It works pretty good but nothing compared to Need For Speed : Shift.  NFS Shift is a sick game on PS3 with the G27 LOL.  Now that you mention that F1 is a great game, I might plan to get it also.  If you haven't got it, stay away from Dirt 1 and Grid.  I bought those two games 2 weeks ago and they are just not what I expected.  The graphic is nothing like NFS Shift or Dirt 2.

Another one i'm looking forward to is NFS Shift 2, that games promises so much more....and is defo the one to look out for....

F1 2010 is just so mind blowing, th2 physics feel great, you can even tweak the G27 to an inch of it's life and the handling superb....

Be warned though, you have to be an F1 fan as the career mode has a proper GP weekend from practice, qualitfying the the actual GP which can be 2hrs long!...pit stops, wheel changes... etc.... awesome
