What happened to Tooldial Software? Any windows version?

Hello everyone,

I welcome the windows drivers of Nulooq, which I have been waiting since it is released. But now I am frustrated that tooldial software is not available, which seemed to be a crucial software side of nulooq. Now I see that Nulooq's features are even limited to panning, zooming, and basic level keystroke combination assignment (may be this is the reason its price is cut to half).

For a while, I guess I will prefer to wait to buy. But I will be pleased if I can get a response from any insiders.
Thanks.

msinam,

tooldial is a stand-alone software piece and is not necessary for the use of the NuLOOQ navigator. You will be be able to enjoy the full functionality of the navigator hardware without tooldial installed. The functionality of the navigator is essentially equal on Mac and WIndows., though obviously then supported apps aside from CS2 are slightly different. I hope this answers your concerns bout NuLOOQ.

So I just bought this for Windows thinking I would also have the tooldial software (one of the reasons I bought it) and you are telling me that there is no tooldial for windows? Are there any plans to release it for Windows soon? This is a big disappointment...

Re: What happened to Tooldial Software? Any windows version?

I can see that NuLOOQ hardware can be used without the tooldial software, but without that software, it does not do any more than my 5 button multidirectional-wheel mouse. I believe tooldial software is very important for the functionality of the NuLOOQ, since my major reason to use nuLOOQ is to control indepth functions of Adobe CS2 applications. Tooldial seemed to be a perfect solution for using my favorite tools and commands, but now, without the software, I am stucked to the keystrokes I can assign to the 3 buttons of tooldial, which does not help a lot.
If you take my response as a survey, I would like to indicate that I will not buy the nuLOOQ unless the windows version of the tooldial software released, and I am ok to pay $150 with the tooldial software.

I agree completely, to make matters worse I have a cd that came with the Nulooq which actually has the software on it, but is completely useless to me as a PC user.

Re: What happened to Tooldial Software? Any windows version?

As soon as the windows version was available I ordered three of these for my group in the office. I ordered one today for my home at amazon.com. When I relaized that the tooldail wasn't available I cancelled the order.

I will probably be returning the three.

With out the tool dial it isn't that big a productivity enhancement.

Bad Move logitech. Take something that had so much potential and turn it into another useless peripheral.

Badly disapointed.

I agree. I now have an $80 dollar paper weight that scrolls my image. I am lucky as I am switching to Mac OS in the new year, untill then....big waste of money.

Re: What happened to Tooldial Software? Any windows version?

So, I'm stuck with a paperweight, too?

I bought this product because of the tooldial application. Frankly, without this software, nuLOOQ really doesn't do much beyond the touch pad on my laptop which already has a scroll up/down, scroll left/right in the keypad. I'm pretty good with the keyboard in Photoshop, so right now, I feel like I've thrown away $79.

What's the prognosis for tooldial under Windows????

Thanks.

Shortly after my posting here Logitech contacted me and through a telephone discussion explained why tooldial was discontinued. the explanation was satifactory to me. Having been using the Nulooq for several weeks now I have to disagree on the 80 dollar paperwieght description, at least where I am concerned.

I do a great deal of detail work in Illustrator and the Nulooq has proven to be a productivity enhancement without the tooldial piece.

I appreciate the customer consciousness that Logitech has displayed in contacting me so quickly following a forum post.
