Well now... It's been more than two months since I started this thread. What happened during this time? Absolutely nothing. I, myself, removed the gadget completely from my workflow and my desk. Using it with CS4 is like trying to drive a car -handcuffed     ..........with the arms behind your back. Totally useless. I tried everything. Even assigning different crappy keystrokes to the zoom and pan wheel, witch only made it worse, since now I have to hold space key to pan around.... and I don't have three hands -if you know what I mean. Utterly dreadfull.

I dont suppose there's someone out there that could mod the blasted soft to make it work? No? I didn't think so.

But I do think that Logitech could release a better soft for the Nulooq.

Maybe we should get a group together and see if we can pay a developer to create a CS4 plugin... ?

Well, I guess that gives us the answer we are looking for. I don't think I will buy another product like this from Logitech. I can't trust that they will support it once a new version of software comes out.  Trade your NuLooq in for the SpaceNavigator SE 3D mouse and use it until CS5 comes out. Shame on you Logitech.

Ok Woody,

Let me get this right: Your company is no long supporting a device that your company never really supported well anyway.

And then if we just bought your device and not the ones of us that suffered through all the lack-luster support for 3 years, you will dump one of your other devices that doesn't really even do the same job on us and expect us to be grateful for the slap?

Wow, not really feeling the gradatude here, anyone else?

I have been waiting for Logitech to reply to emails and posts over 2 years old and this is what we all have been rewarded with?!?!

The least (and in the case of Logitech I DO MEAN LEAST!) you can so is put some documentation on the SDKs for the Nulooq and let us support ourselves!

Well, this is the last straw for me, I am personally boycotting Logitech, I will not buy any Logitech products, I am not going to recommend Logitech products, I am going to blog, post and report Logitech's bad support on every Photo, graphics and software forum I am on!

Is this what class-action lawsuits are caused by, ignoring customers especially professionals that need working tools to make a living!

I bought mine because of Scott Kelby's recommendation. I wonder how he feels about how his beloved Nulooq has been treated!

I don't know about the rest of you but I am insulted...

I cannot believe Logitech will not support the Nulooq, it was an excellent tool but now makes an excellent paperweight.

I think the company has lost a lot of potential business by treating customers like this, it surely is not a huge amount of work to update drivers, the product was  fairly expensive to buy. I got mine in Feb '06 just after it appeared in stores here and then found it was basically shelved a few months later.

I don't think I will buy any more Logitech products for our company as it has left a bad taste.

I've just updated my (previoulsy 4-star) review with a note that the product is discontinued.

Is this forum message the only official announcement? Will there be no announcement on the main Logitech site? Anything sent to users who registered? Pretty shoddy communication, IMO.

Absolutely sad that a company like Logitech would treat their customers this way. The lack of support has been bad enough, but to offer such a pathetically ill-conceived 'solution' is mind-boggling. Why offer this exchange only to those who can prove purchase after that date? Makes no sense.

If anyone from Logitech reads this forum, you could at least have the decency to address those of us who have supported you and your company by having bought your product and by having communicated with you through this forum. Show us that the company has some sort of care for its customers beyond individual product purchasing. Is your company about to collapse? Otherwise I cannot fathom a reason for such blatant disregard for those who give you money and trust.

At least give us some sort of plug-in for Photoshop CS4 as a parting gift, offer no support for it, but it would be enough for some of us to grumble for a while but still have the chance to be productive.

Having been a logitech customer/victim on several devices now, I'll offer this observation: Logitech builds cool and well constructed hardware, but if the device relies on software stay away - the products that depend on code eventually fall behind the curve and Logitech does not seem to have the resources or consistent coding practices to keep up fixing it, so they loose interest in the product, probably because it has ceased to generate the hot sales numbers it did when first released (partly due to complaints from increasingly disgruntled users?) and finally cut their losses. What frustrates people is that the products remain on sale with no indication of the decling support except found by those who came to this forum and did their homework.

I loved my nulooq on cs and cs2, but gave up during cs3 - its way better than a space mouse in some ways and has more controls but the space mouse has a nicer feel to the twist motions. Still the nulooq tool dial and related features have no equivalent, so its a poor sop for those users.

If they would develop the SDKs and license it out for free or at attractive pricing they would generate a lot more interest and user satisfaction in their products. If they EOL a product like nulooq they should move the code out into the open
