Logitech G430 Microphone stopped working

[ Edited ]

I got my Logitech G430 a few weeks back and i haven't dropped it. I was skyping with my friend and we ended the call, a few hours later I want to talk to another friend but my mic doesn't record anything. I double checked the settings and nothing happened. The audio works perfectly fine though.

Re: Logitech G430 Microphone stopped working

Hi dappy9,

Could you please try the following with your G430 Surround Sound Gaming Headset:

1. Open the Device Manager and expand the Sound, video and Game controllers section.
2. Right click on the Logitech G430  and select uninstall.
3. Unplug the G430 and restart the computer.
4. After the computer boots up, plug the G430 into a different USB and wait for the drivers to automatically reload.
5. Once the drivers are installed you should get a message saying "Your device is ready to use".
Clean Install for Logitech Gaming Software:
1. Uninstall LGS from your computer.
2. Download LGS from the G430 Downloads Page and save the file.
3. Access the System Configuration Utility and go to selective startup mode. (FAQ 228)
4. Install LGS from the file that you have previously saved.
5. Check the settings and verify that the are all working properly.
6. Restore your system. (FAQ 228)
7. Launch LGS and check to see if the issue persists.
Please give this a try.
If the issue persist, please place a call to our Logitech Phone Support center to see how we can help.
Kind regards,
