I have a g11 keyboard. Im using it for both XP and W7 (W7 is fine so far).
Under XP the following problem occurs:
When pressing NUM-0 no zero appears. All the other NUMpad keys work as they should.
The board has worked correctly for months on end. No (relevant) changes to the system (seem to) have been made.
Two weeks ago, without any strange occurance in the middle of a "session" (which means it didnt stop working after eboot or "off"time)
the 0 from NUM-0 stopped responding.
Last night, without any action on my part, it suddenly did what it should again - produce a 0 (im very used to using the NUMpad so i automaticaaly use it - hence i noticed)
This morning, with nothing more happened than the computer having been off overnight, 0 does not come up at NUM 0 press.
The key itself works
- if you use the profiler you can see the key is depressed and released. it functions every time.
- if you shft NUM-) in word the insert function goes on and off liek it should.
So key is not dead.
I have switched language settings and keyboard setting through all combinations available - this does not make a difference
I have had every combination of numlock scrolllock and capslock on - no difference
I have competely deinstalled - redownload and resinstalled all logitech software - this makes no difference
The key randomly reverts back into working without any (conscious) action on my part and then not working again.
As said - I had a previous occurance with the NUM 9 - this disapperead completly after a windows reinstall
Am I missing something here? Does anyone have a solution?

Nearly three weeks and not a peep from support?
Is it the way I described the problem?
Is everyone on holiday?
No-one know the answer?
A crack team of 7 programmers is trying to find it out?
The least I'd expect after buying top end keyboard is a response to a support question - even if it is just you cant figure it out.
So if soething is missing in my post - please indicate and ill try to supply
If nothing is missing I'd really like some help with this.

This is a community support forum, no official Logitech tech support. For that, contanct Logitech tech support directly via support->contact.
Sounds like a hardware problem to me, so a software solution is probably impossible...Well, suppose you could hook up a webcam, point it at your numpad, and theoretically have software detect when you're pressing the key, but...um....

couldnt have said it better myself.... but the logitech product team does come on this thread (rarely), but the Mods are pretty helpful and do contact logitech if needed.
BUT anyway if you need a list of phone #s let me know where you are from, i got toll free #s for most of the world.
Software isnt voodoo, it cant raise the dead
