so does the new 3.04 software allow the joystick to be used as a mouse without using scripts?
if so please enlighten me

Yes, just go to the Logitech G-series Key Profiler, left click on one of the joystick arrows and choose 'Assign Mouse...'
You can also 'Assign Joystick...'!
So while the general techniques in this thread still work for extending the profiler using Autohotkey, they are no longer necessary for emulating the mouse.
Sadly no 3.04 for Mac users still...

I wish we had the same functionality as those on Windows - Mac users are still stuck at 3.03 (which was only recently released). I'd love to have the same functionality available to OS X - and it's already been around 4 months since you guys have it.
I hope my patience lasts...

i am confused on how to make one of the G keys a mouse click. i am useing the latest drivers

there are 2 ways:
1. make a macro, but instead of recording keystrokes just right-click in the macro actions area and choose the mouse events you want from the popup menu.
2. use Lua scripting and use the "PressAndReleaseMouseButton" function.
