So when not doing some 3D stuff for fun I'll have that unexplainable urge to sometimees get into a good game.
Because of this I got myself G13 and quite a while later the 3DConnexion SpacePilot PRO and while I don't regret to ever have bought the devices I'm slowly starting to ragequit at the software provided with them.
With the latest Updates of the Software it has gotten unbearable to control them ( G13 Display constantly sticking to LCD Screensafer ) or even get some information out of em ( SPPro not always displaying the information I need because it just won't start it's Function Keys LCD App ).
In order to actually be able to make use of the G13 LCD I'd have to kill the Logitech LCD Manager ( LCDMon.exe ) which comes installed with the SPPro.
On the other hand the LCD Apps I need on the SPPro will never start unless I kill both the LCore.exe and the LCDMon.exe and then start the LCDMon.exe first followed by the G13's LCore.exe.
Could anyone provide me with a solution how to handle this Softwareconflict?
G13 is using Logitech Gaming Software 8.20.74
SPPro is using 3DxWare 10.0.11 R1165

Perhaps the easiest thing to do is to install the Legacy software. I believe it is still offered on their download sites. The software isn't as up to date as the LGS, but it's very stable.

Hi, I'm here for the same reason - I've been using my G13 for over a year now.
I just purchased a 3D Connexion Space Pilot Pro to go along with my 3D modeling software which now has 3D Navigator support (Luxology Modo.)
Considering the prices of both of these devices, I feel you're putting yourselves AND your customers at a disadvantage.
Why would I want to >downgrade< the capabilities of my (new) $400 Space Pilot just so I can use your $100 G13.
Why >should I have to >choose< between the two, or why would you want us to?
Speaking with a manager over at 3DC, I was informed that Logitech and 3DC was what? the same company until a split or something?? Doing a quick internet search you can still see pages that say "Logitech Space Pilot Pro" etc.
So 3DC is saying their latest driver will "conflict" with G13 drivers (the G13 display flashes etc.,) with seemingly >no interest to resolve<, and Logitech is here, telling folks to use legacy 3DC drivers that don't support the latest features for button programming; macros creation etc.
I mean cmon, what is this corporate sabotage?? Each of yall making stuff that criples the others - and then don't want to expend the energy to fix the situation for what frankly seems like just for spite...
I was looking at the G15 since I don't really need the joystick thingie or the display on the G13 (which is where the conflicts come in at; the display applets.)
The G19 also looks nice, and so does the G510 but why would I ever CONSIDER buying one of those now when they'll probably end up having the same driver conflicts?
And it's not like neither one of your companies WARN the user about this KNOWN potential conflict between them so informed decisions can be made when someone is considering a purchase of these again, very well known devices.
Between the two of your companies, one of yall needs to man up and make sure these devices interop correctly together.
Since Logitech IS responsible for selling the G13, I'd frankly expect to see you guys make sure it works okay with the SpacePilot Pro since this is a KNOWN condition that has been reported multiple times and is easily reproducible...
Anyone that's in the market for programmable keyboards are inevitably going to run across these keyboards and the Navigator devices, why knowingly then have those customers experience the conflicts to then have to start looking for non-existant solutions???

PS - This post was written using a Logitech K350 and M570 wireless keyboard and mouse. Someone please pour out some beer for the NOW DISCONNECTED G13...

Has there been any progress/change on this?
I have a Space Pilot Pro and have just upgraded a V1 G15 to a G19 with a G600 mouse.
Installed the latest software prior to getting the keyboard and mouse and have noticed the conflict with the LCD software provided for the SPPro.
I guess I could use the legacy Logitech software for the G19 (since it's odler) but I'm guessing that wont support/detect the G600 mouse?
I can use the SPPro without the LCD software and go with the latest Logitech software but that sought of defeats the purpose.
3DConnexion is/was a Logitech company hence the LCD panel and software being the same but if they know conflict then that's a pretty bad show

I took matters into my own hand and created a simple batch file to kill AND restart both apps in a specific order which solves the issue of the Function Keys Apps not appearing on the Spacepilot Pro - It's not perfect but it works for me cause it only requires 2 clicks ( one to start the Batchfile and another to minimize the Logitech Gaming Software which I couldn't start minimized )
Didn't solve the Display Conflict on the Logitech G13 but that's not something I worry about as I never used that LCD.
Batchfile content looks like this:
taskkill /f /t /im "LCDMon.exe"
taskkill /f /t /im "LCore.exe"
START "" "C:\Program Files\Logitech\GamePanel Software\LCD Manager\LCDMon.exe"
START "" "C:\Program Files\Logitech Gaming Software\LCore.exe"
First 2 lines kill both Applications ( LCDMon.exe for the SPP and LCore.exe for the Gx Devices )
Second 2 lines will start em again - Might have to alter the paths of the executables.

Thanks for the reply, will give that a go when I get around to connecting things up.
Will be interesting to see what will happen given the two screens of the G19 and SP Pro... also have a G13, and the G600 needs the newer software I assume to recognise the extra buttons.
